Woman who lured ex to bat beating is fined

NASSAU- A wicked woman who lured her ex-boyfriend to her home where he was savagely beaten with a baseball bat has escaped jail time.

Joycelyn Chriswell on January 6 invited her former love-interest to her home in Eastwood Estates.

The boyfriend was lying in Chriswell’s bed when her cousin, David Wallace, emerged with a baseball bat.

Chriswell held her ex down as Wallace battered him with the bat.

Then, she grabbed another baseball bat and joined in the attack.

The ex-boyfriend managed to get away, but both of his legs were broken as a result of the attack.

Chriswell and Wallace pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon and causing harm when they appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney on April 26 for trial.

Magistrate McKinney fined each convict $1,000 or nine months’ imprisonment. What’s more, they each ordered to pay the victim $1,500 in compensation to avoid spending a month in custody.
