NASSAU- A teenager accused of shooting five women in a case of mistaken identity has been denied bail.
Prosecutors say Dino Lafleur, 19, opened fire on a car occupied by Kinisha Jules, Shantique Green, Aaliyah Green, Antonesha Taylor and Alvinique Ferguson on March 5.
Lafleur was not required to enter pleas to charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.
The women were travelling east along Second Street in Coconut Grove when the shooting occurred. It is believed that their car was mistaken for the one that a group of men left in following a fight at a bar in the area.
Lafleur will return to court on June 7.
