Row over pizza toppings leads to assault

NASSAU- An argument over pizza toppings led to a food fight.

Daniel Pyfrom, 54, Johnson Terrace, was arrested on Christmas Eve after he busted the door at Domino’s Pizza in the Harbour Bay Shopping Centre and struck a security guard in the head with a piece of wood.

Pyfrom pleaded guilty to causing damage and assault with a dangerous instrument.

The manager told security guard St Gerard Nord to show Pyfrom the door after he started cursing because he couldn’t get extra toppings on his veggie pie.

But, Pyfrom didn’t go quietly—and held onto the door.

That’s when Nord started to hit him with his billy club. But Pyfrom wrested the wood from him and hit him over his head. Pyfrom also shattered the glass door with the club.

Pyfrom’s lawyer Devard Francis said his client was sorry about the incident.

He said that a Pyfrom had already paid to repair the damaged door and apologised to Nord.

He said that Pyfrom had already spent the holidays in jail.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes placed Pyfrom on probation for six months. He’ll spend one month in prison if he violates the terms of his probation.
