NASSAU-A man has been jailed for two years after attacking a relative and killing his puppy.
Omarv Saunders Jr. first killed his cousin’s Pit Bull puppy by throwing it against a wall.
Then he wounded his cousin in a knife attack that sent him to hospital.
Saunders didn’t face charges in relation to the death of his cousin’s pet.
But he pleaded guilty to causing harm to his cousin when he appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.
His sentence could be extended by six months if he doesn’t pay his victim $2,500 in compensation.
