NASSAU- A man arrested after police seized more than seven pounds of edibles with marijuana in them has been charged.
Michael Turnquest, 35, of Indigo Drive, is charged with importation of dangerous drugs, conspiracy to import dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply and conspiracy to possess dangerous drugs with intent to supply.
Turnquest, a solar panel technician, on Monday pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes.
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant on Turnquest’s home on March 4 and found edibles and Indian Hemp oil in a suitcase.
Turnquest is free on $7,000 bail. His trial is set for June 23.
