ABACO- A deacon was denied bail after he was accused of abusing his position of trust by molesting a girl of 15.
Archilaus Cooper Jr, 63, a deacon at Faith Walk Church of God in Cooper’s Town, Abaco, pleaded not guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual with a dependent at his arraignment before Magistrate Ancella Evans.
Prosecutors allege that Cooper molested the teen on February 24 and March 16.
His trial is set for August 4.
He will remain in prison until his trial unless he’s granted bail by a Supreme Court judge.
