NASSAU- A seven-year-old boy is now an orphan after his parents were murdered in separate incidents.
The boy’s father Keion Butler was murdered in 2019—and his mother was shot dead Friday night.
Shavonya Adderley was mortally wounded in a shooting on First Street, Coconut Grove.
The shooting occurred around 8pm when three gunmen opened fire on a group of people outside a residence.
Adderley died from gunshot injuries at hospital. Another man injured in the shooting is in serious but stable condition at hospital.
Butler was murdered in similar circumstances on August 13, 2019.
Butler, Chavez McPhee and Marvin Tilme were outside a home on Amos Ferguson Street when two men emerged from a car and shot them.
Three men accused of murdering Butler and attempting to murder McPhee and Tilme were acquitted this year.
