NASSAU- A woman was shot as she sat on her porch in Elizabeth Estates.
According to police, the woman was at her home on Maura Crest on Sunday, November 28 when she heard gunshots.
The woman took cover—but later realized that she’d been hit in the calf.
The woman went to the Elizabeth Estates Police Station to report the matter.
She was taken to hospital from there and is listed in stable condition.
Police are investigating a second shooting that took place at the junction of Market Street and Robinson Road.
Police said a white Jeep pulled up around 2pm and a passenger shot the man multiple times.
He was shot in the thigh and ankle and is listed in serious condition at hospital.
