NASSAU-Police have arrested two teens who they say almost killed a 93-year-old man when they attacked him with a hammer during a robbery that netted $500.
Tyrone Neely, 18, and a 16-year-old are accused of attempting to murder Wilfred Beneby during an armed robbery at his shop on Lincoln Boulevard on January 28.
The teens did not enter pleas to the charges when they appeared before Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evanson Friday and have been denied bail.
They return to court on April 29.
