NASSAU- An 18-year-old Andros man has been charged with a double shooting that killed a German expat and wounded another.
Derran Smith is accused of the November 2 murder of Torsten Hendricks and the attempted murder of Hugo Hendricks.
Both men were having drinks outside their summer home when a gunman approached.
The gunman, whom prosecutors say is Smith, shot the men as they ran inside.
Smith didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges when he made his first court appearance before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.
He was denied bail and will make his next court appearance on March 28, 2023.
