A young man who brought marijuana edibles onto a high school campus has avoided jail by paying a $1,500 fine.
Magistrate Samuel McKinney told 19-year-old Thomas Graham that he would spend six months in prison if he didn’t pay the fine.
Graham, a student, brought 27 Rice Krispies treats to Doris Johnson High School on September 13.
He was arrested after the ganja-laced treats were found in his school bag.
Graham pleaded guilty to marijuana possession with intent to supply.
He’s also been placed on probation for one-year. A conviction during this period would result in a six month jail sentence.
