Shooting victim dies in hospital

NASSAU- A man who was shot multiple times at Delaporte on Sunday has died in hospital.

Rolin “Popo” Alexis died on Monday.

He was released from prison in April after the Court of Appeal overturned his armed robbery conviction and did not order a retrial.

In 2020, Alexis was acquitted of the murder of Dessaline Nicholas during a second trial.

His first conviction and 45-year sentence were quashed after the judge allowed the jury to hear inadmissible evidence.
