ABACO – Police fined the owners of a club $30,500 over the weekend for breaking coronavirus restrictions.
The officers on Friday found 95 people jammed into the business in Central Pines. A maximum of 24 patrons should have been allowed inside if social distancing guidelines were observed.
A video of the incident showed maskless patrons exiting the packed club, as an officer conducted a head count.
The co-owners of the establishment were given tickets totaling $30,500.
Abaco has recently recorded an uptick in COVID-19 cases.
