NASSAU – A man accused of breaking into a home and raping a nine-year-old girl was on bail at the time of the assault.
Police arrested the suspect, who’s in his early 30s, in close proximity to the victim’s Grand Bahama home.
The girl’s parents raised the alarm after realising that she wasn’t in her bedroom.
A check of surveillance footage showed a prowler on their premises.
Police say the man took the girl from the house and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect has previously been convicted of sexual assault and is on bail for a similar matter.
