NASSAU- A man accused of murdering his friend over $20 was shot and killed over the weekend.
Franklyn Glinton, 22, was playing dominoes outside a home in Millars Heights around 8pm on Saturday, March 5 when gunmen opened fire.
Glinton, another man and a woman were injured and taken to hospital.
Glinton died a short time later.
Meanwhile, the second man is in critical condition and the woman is stable.
Police have not released a possible motive for the shooting.
Coincidentally, Glinton was on bail for a murder that took place in Millars Heights in 2020.
Prosecutors alleged that Glinton and a 17-year-old accomplice bashed in Laafd McKenzie Jr’s head on August 27 after luring him away from his Millars Heights home.
A search party found McKenzie’s body in bushes a street way from his home on August 30.
However, he was beaten so severely that a visual identification was impossible and he had to be identified through DNA.
Both accused confessed to the murder following their arrest.
According to their confessions, they killed McKenzie because he refused to give them $20.
So how was he on bail if he confessed to the murder?
