NASSAU- A man was shot and killed while working on a car Monday afternoon.
According to police, the man was repairing a car at Fifth Street in Coconut Grove around 2pm when a lone gunman ambushed him and shot him multiple times.
Then, the killer fled by running towards Fourth Street.
The victim, who has been identified by the street name Gow, died a short time later in hospital.
The incident is the fifth murder since Saturday.
A man was fatally stabbed during a fight on Fritz Lane around 8pm on Sunday, March 7.
An hour later, police in Grand Bahama responded to a shooting at a business in West End.
Police said the shooting stemmed from an altercation. They have arrested three men and a woman in relation to the incident.
On Saturday, March 4, two gunmen ambushed Neiko Mackey as he pulled to his home off Golden Isles Road.
A neighbor took him to the Carmichael Road Police Station and he died while being tended to by ambulance technicians.
Later that day, around 8pm, two gunmen opened fire on the participants of a dominoes games in Millar’s Heights.
Franklyn Glinton died as a result and two others were seriously injured.
