Man accused of car wash murder

NASSAU- A man has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting at a car wash.

Stephon Davis, 24, has been denied bail after allegedly killing Michael Thompson Jr at a car wash on East Street.

Officers received a call reporting the shooting shortly before 6pm on July 12. When officers arrived at the scene, they met Thompson, 36, dead. Witnesses reported that a gunman emerged from a Nissan March and fatally shot Thompson.

Davis did not have to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

He returns to court in December.
