NASSAU- A man who had been on bail for three shooting murders is back in custody on a weapons charge.
Police arrested Hartman Rolle Jr. at Market Street and Robinson Road on December 30, 2022 after they allegedly caught him with a 9mm Taurus 6TX pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition in his back pocket.
The 28-year-old resident of St. Alban’s Drive pleaded not guilty to possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition at his arraignment before Magistrate Kendra Kelly on January 3.
She denied him bail because of his pending murder and attempted murder cases and a previous gun possession conviction.
Rolle is accused of the January 4, 2022 shooting death of Harvey Bethel at Coconut Grove Avenue.
He also faces charges related to a triple shooting through Quake Street in 2021.
Prosecutors say Rolle is responsible for the November 23, 2021 murders of Pablo Moss and Melvin Johnson as well as the attempted murder of Dion Bethell.
Rolle’s gun case is set for February 21.
