Nassau, BAHAMAS- Police arrested serial sex offender Sidney Cooper on Wednesday after he was falsely accused of attempting to abduct a 12-year-old girl as she walked on Fourth Street, Coconut Grove.
After learning of the incident, angry residents armed with rocks, bottles and cutlasses converged on Cooper’s home at Fifth Street.
As a result, police were called.
Police said that they are looking for a tall, bald and light-skinned suspect in connection with the abduction attempt.
Cooper was placed on the Sex Offender’s Registry after he was released from prison on August 18 for indecent assault.
