NASSAU- A police officer shot and killed his stepson Wednesday night.
According to police reports, the shooting victim allegedly put a knife to his mother’s throat during an argument at their apartment on St. Alban’s Drive.
Her husband, reportedly a police reservist, allegedly shot his stepson to protect his wife.
The matter is under under “active investigation,” according to a police release.
