NASSAU- The arraignment of a 61-year-old man accused of stabbing his brother is on hold until March.
Anthony Harding, of Salt Pond, Long Island, appeared before Magistrate Shaka Serville for a formal arraignment on January 6.
Police charged him with causing grievous harm and assault with a dangerous instrument in relation to the January 2 stabbing of his brother, David Harding.
But the arraignment was delayed due to a concern over his fitness to plead.
Harding was remanded to the Sandilands Rehabilitation Center, pending a mental health assessment.
He is expected to return to court on March 22.
