Nassau, BAHAMAS- Police say an eight-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital after she was shot in the leg Monday night.
The incident happened after 9pm outside her family’s home at India Drive in Flamingo Gardens.
Police said the child was sitting on the porch with family members when a gunman exited a white Japanese car and opened fire, hitting the child.
The shooter left in the same car that he arrived in.
The child was taken to the hospital, where she is in stable condition.
A search is underway for the shooter and his getaway driver.
