NASSAU- Two men have been charged for their alleged involved in an armed robbery at Smitty’s Convenience Store in Exuma.
Prosecutors allege that Chando King, 24, and Kenneth Mortimer, 23, were armed with a knife and handgun, when they robbed two of the store’s cashiers of a total of $1,240 on October 29.
Police arrested the Exuma residents two days after hold-up.
And officers allegedly found the men with a 9mm pistol and two rounds of 9mm ammunition.
They were not required to charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition when they appeared before Magistrate Kara Turnquest -Deveaux today.
She denied them bail and set February 4 at their next court date.
