A senior citizen accused of drug smuggling hobbled into court with a walking cane.
Police busted Spanish national Esperanza Bonet Roig on March 7 after they allegedly found 12 pounds of cocaine in her duffel bag.
She’d arrived at the Lynden Pindling International Airport on a flight from Panama.
However, Roig denied drug smuggling charges on March 9.
It’s now a magistrate’s job to decide if the allegations are true.
Roig’s trial is set for May 11. She’s been remanded to prison to await trial.
