Victim fails to appear in comedian’s sex tape case

Nassau, BAHAMAS- A magistrate has given prosecutors a final chance to present evidence against a comedian accused of leaking a secretly recorded sex tape.

The entertainer, whose real name is Terrance Gilbert II, is accused of secretly filming a woman while she gave him a blowjob on March 24, 2022. What’s more, he’s accused of leaking the raunchy recording on May 5, 2022.

Gilbert denied charges of voyeurism and intentional libel at his arraignment before Magistrate Shaka Serville.

Since then, no evidence has been heard in the case.

On November 29, 2022, the alleged victim did not appear; however, two police witnesses were present.

On April 4, 2023, no witnesses showed up. Then, on August 15, 2023, no witnesses showed up.

As a result, the magistrate scheduled a final adjournment for November 11.

The case could be dismissed for want of prosecution if witnesses fail to show up on that date.
