Two accused of murder of former inmate

NASSAU- A suspect in a fatal shooting was arrested with a loaded gun, prosecutors say.

Nelson Bevans, 28, of Duncanson Road, is charged with murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Prosecutors say Bevans, otherwise known as “Shine”, and Jamal “Daddy” Brown, 35, are responsible for the murder of Mario Duncan on February 8.

Duncan, 25, who was recently released from prison, was found shot to death through a track road, off Golden Isles Road.

Police allegedly found Bevans with a 9mm pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition on February 14.

Both Bevans and Brown were were denied bail when they appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes. They are expected to return to court on May 18
