ABACO – An American tourist was jailed for one year after airport security screeners found a loaded gun in his luggage.
Ronald Moorehead, 53, can legally carry the .380 Keltec pistol with five rounds of ammunition, in his home state of Georgia.
However, he offended Bahamian laws by traveling to Marsh Harbour, Abaco with the weapon.
Moorehead pleaded guilty to a possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at his arraignment before Senior Magistrate Ancella Evans.
