NASSAU-Prosecutors are looking to file additional charges against a man and woman accused of forcing two missing teens into prostitution.
Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt delayed a bail hearing for Jamalaya Roberts, 40, and Shamika Rolle, 28, until April 1 after learning of the possibility of more charges.
Roberts and Rolle, who is five months pregnant, are accused of conspiracy to engage in trafficking in person and transporting persons for the purposes of prostitution.
Prosecutors allege that between between February 1, 2021 through March 4, 2021 they forced the 16-year-old girls into prostitution. Their parents had reported them missing.
Police arrested the suspects on March 19.
