Nassau, Bahamas – A school bus driver is accused of indecently assaulting a student.
Prosecutors say Stephen Darling, 59, who was contracted to transport students at the school the 11-year-old girl attended, had indecent contact with the child on April 28.
Darling pleaded not guilty at his arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.
He was granted $6,000 bail on the condition that he wears an electronic monitoring device and has no contact with prosecution witnesses.
Darling’s trial is scheduled for June 30. If convicted, Darling faces a maximum sentence of three years’ imprisonment.
