NASSAU-It’s back to square one for convicted child killer Kofhe Goodman.

The Court of Appeal today struck the appeal of the twice-convicted killer of 11-year-old Marco Archer from its calendar.

Director of Public Prosecutions Garvin Gaskin today successfully argued that Goodman’s appeal wasn’t properly before the court.

Goodman wrote the court a letter seeking an appeal past the 21-day appeal deadline.

And his court-appointed lawyer Stanley Rolle didn’t make the required extension of time application.

Gaskin raised these issues in objection to Mr Rolle’s application for an adjournment.

However, Goodman can still challenge his conviction.

Mr Rolle just has to refile the appeal and make the necessary application.

Goodman, also known as Edwardo Ferguson, is serving 55 years for Marco’s murder.

Prosecutors said he kidnapped the child from the Bain Town area and took him to his condominium in Cable Beach with the intention of raping him.

Police found Marco’s naked body in bushes near Goodman’s home, five days after his family reported him missing.
