NASSAU- A man whose fingerprints linked him to a loaded gun has been jailed for 18 months.
Niklas Sterling Major, 21, received the sentence as part of a plea deal.
Major entered into the plea bargain in the middle of his trial before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.
Police were on mobile patrol on June 16, 2018 when they saw Major jump over a wall at the park in Hope Gardens.
The officers later found a .45 pistol with five rounds of ammunition in the cell of a concrete block.
Major was tracked down after his fingerprints matched those lifted from the gun’s magazine
