NASSAU- A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of 29-year-old Shavez Hart, a former Olympian.
Hart died after he was shot in the chest in the parking lot of a club in Mount Hope, North Abaco.
According to police, a group of men got into a fight around 2am on September 3.
One of the men allegedly left and returned with a gun that he allegedly used to shoot Hart. He was declared dead at the Marsh Harbour Clinic.
Hart mainly competed in the 100 meters and 200 meters.
His personal best of 10.10 seconds in the 100 meters was the third fastest time by a Bahamian.
Police arrested the murder suspect a short time later.
