NASSAU – Police have charged a 47-year-old with the murder of his ex-girlfriend.
Prosecutors say Lynden Vincent gunned down Patrice Sawyer around 5am on October 31 after calling her outside her Johnson Road home.
Vincent, who turned himself into police soon after the shooting, didn’t have to enter a plea to the murder charge when he made his first court appearance before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.
He was remanded to prison to await the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment that will send his case to the Supreme Court.
Vincent’s next court date is February 8, 2023.
