Freeport -Prosecutors have charged a 23-year-old man with a brazen ambush murder that occurred in front of witnesses.
Raymond Trae Bain is charged with the March 14 shooting death of Laphanso “Fanso” Stuart in Sandy Point, Abaco.
Bain allegedly shot Stuart, 26, in the back of his head as he was about to board a boat back to Moore’s Island, Abaco.
Police arrested Bain the following day in an abandoned building at Casaurina Point. Police did not recover the murder weapon
Bain made his initial court appearance before Magistrate Laquay Laing in Freeport, Grand Bahama today.
He was not required to enter a plea to the murder charge.
Bain was denied bail and will return to court in May to receive a voluntary bill of indictment that will send the matter to the Supreme Court for trial.
