NASSAU- A man accused of having sexual with a woman who has an intellectual disability has been denied bail.
Yuel Major, 55, was not required to enter pleas to charges of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person suffering from a mental disorder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Prosecutors allege that Major took advantage of the 27-year-old woman who cannot legally consent to sex due to her mental impairment between May 1 and 31 and on June 5.
He’s also accused of pulling a knife on the same woman in May.
Major next returns to court on September 6 to receive a voluntary bill of indictment.
