NASSAU-A man accused of the rape of a minor has been denied bail.
Prosecutors say Leonard Brown, 44, of Elizabeth Estates, had unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl in June. The age of consent is 16.
Brown did not have to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain on Friday.
Brown returns to court on November 16 to receive at voluntary bill of indictment.
