NASSAU-A Supreme Court judge on Monday ordered the immediate reinstatement of 24 Gaming Board workers who were illegally fired between November and December 2017.
Justice Indra Charles ruled that the board broke the law when it made the workers redundant without first consulting the union.
The workers were among 36 former Gaming Board employees who sued for wrongful dismissal.
Justice Charles said the workers could be let go again as long as the proper procedures are followed.
The court ruled that six workers who were on probation and four workers on monthly contracts were not illegally terminated.
However, the judge ruled that two workers whose three-year contracts were still valid should have been paid the remainder of their contracts.
