FREEPORT- A court clerk has been accused of pocketing cash paid into the court.
Marilyn Forbes, 43, allegedly falsified records in a bid to conceal the theft of $650.
Forbes denied charges of stealing by reason of employment, falsification of accounts and acquisition of proceeds of criminal conduct at her arraignment before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.
Forbes has been granted $5,000 bail with one surety.
Her trial is scheduled for April 7 through 9.
Forbes, a contract worker, joined the judiciary as part of the government’s 52-week programme. She has been fired.
