NASSAU- Four police officers charged with manslaughter in the death of Danrico Carey were released from custody after they were granted emergency bail Wednesday afternoon.
Corporal 3581 Archibald Miller Jr, Corporal Thomas Thurston, Constable 3629 Lee Dormeus and Constable 3731 Kevin Greenslade Jr were freed soon after a magistrate remanded them to prison and adjourned the matter to April 25.
They are charged with manslaughter in the November 13, 2021 death of Danrico Carey at Matthew Street, Nassau Village.
Senior Justice Bernard Turner set bail at $9,500 for each officer after the prosecution did not object to their release.
As a condition of bail, they are required to report to any police station with a bail kiosk before 6pm on Fridays.
