NASSAU- A convicted child rapist died in prison Friday afternoon after he reportedly suffered a seizure at his dorm.
Anthony Smith was serving a 10-year sentence for molesting his former girlfriend’s three daughters.
Smith raped the girls, aged, seven and eight, in 2016 while their mother was at work. He was convicted of the indecent assault of their younger sister, aged six.
Smith, 36, is the second inmate from the N Dorm in Maximum Security to die recently.
Murder convict Andrew “Yogi” Davis died in the dorm from complications of heart failure on October 28, 2020.
Prison officials had denied Davis, 43, access to his prescribed diet to manage the disease.
