Charge dropped against man accused of murder

NASSAU-A murder charge stemming from a New Year’s Day shooting has been dropped.

Marvin Martin, 44, no longer faces trial for the January 1 shooting death of Terrance “Coke Head” Rolle at Market Street.

Prosecutors had accused Martin of shooting the teen as he walked home after attending the Junkanoo parade.

But on Thursday the DPP withdrew the charge by issuing a nolle prosequi.
