NASSAU- Police are investigating after an inmate was severely beaten at the Bahamas Department of Corrections.
Authorities said the 51-year-man was rushed to the hospital after he was found unconscious in his cell around 9:40am Tuesday by corrections officers doing routine checks.
The inmate is in serious condition at the hospital, police said.
On November 1, 2021, 29-year-old Mikhail Miller was found dead in his cell.
His cellmate Diallo Williamson is awaiting trial for allegedly beating him to death.
