Man on bail for 2 murders allegedly caught with 2 guns

NASSAU- A man on bail for two murders has been granted bail again—this time for allegedly possessing two firearms.

Police allegedly caught Ahmad Clarke with two loaded 9mm pistols earlier this month.

At the time of his arrest on the gun charge, Clarke, of Acklins Street, was on bail awaiting trial for shooting murders that occurred years apart.

In November 2020, Clarke was charged with the murder of Renaldo “Bones” Nixon and the attempted murder of Antonisha Adderley.

At the time of that incident, Clarke was wearing an ankle bracelet as a condition of his bail for the 2018 murder of Christian Moree and the attempted murders of Romeo Moss and Tarsman Clarke.

Clarke pleaded not guilty to the gun and ammunition charges and was freed on $7,500 bail ahead of his trial.
