GRAND BAHAMA -Police have a man in custody concerning a fatal shooting at a backgammon game.
The incident happened around 6pm on Saturday, January 29 on Sapodilla Road in Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama.
According to police, two men were playing backgammon when the gunman appeared and opened fire, hitting one of them in the chest before he fled into bushes.
The wounded man died in hospital. He was the first murder victim in Grand Bahama for the year and the eleventh in the country.
Police say a man is assisting them with their investigation.
