Abaco police probe murder, other shootings

ABACO- Investigators are trying to find out what led up to a fatal shooting after a man was found dead in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.

Police responded to the scene at Crocket Drive around 4am on January 29.

They met the victim on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds about the body.

He was next to a white Honda Accord.

The incident is the first murder of the year in Abaco and the tenth for the country.

Police on Abaco are also investigating two other shootings on Saturday that did not result in death.

According to police, a shooting victim showed up at the Marsh Harbour Clinic before 2am.

The clinic staff informed the police about the incident.

When the police officers arrived, the woman told them she was standing outside a business on Don McKay Boulevard when someone opened fire and shot her. Her injuries are described as serious.

An hour later, police responded to a shooting at a home in Murphy Town.

A woman reported that someone fire shots through her bedroom window.

The woman said she heard a car speed off after the gunfire stopped.

No one was injured in that incident.
