NASSAU- A Jamaican woman who went on Facebook trying to clear her name after a fatal stabbing has been charged with murder.

Nadisha Marshalle Beckford, 33, of Marshall Road, appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt charged with the February 20 murder of Lakeisha Mackey.

According to police, both women got into an argument in the parking lot of the Mayfair Hotel on West Bay Street. Beckford allegedly stabbed Mackey in several times in the back.

In her video, Beckford claimed that she was defending herself. She also appeared surprised that Mackey had died at the result of the stabbing.

She said, “I give yuh two stabs. So how the f*** yuh dead? I give yuh two stabs!”

Beckford, who is represented by Keevon Maynard, did not have to enter a plea to the murder charge.

She has been remanded to prison and returns to court on June 16.
