Nassau, Bahamas – A woman was sexually assaulted by a male suspect after careless cops at the East Street South Police Station put them in the same cell.
The shocking incident happened Thursday night.
Police brought the 25-year-woman to the station on a traffic warrant and put her in a cell.
Later that evening, police arrested Ryan Bodie, 32, for threats of death and causing damage. They put him in the same cell as the woman with the outstanding warrant.
Bodie masturbated and threatened to rape the terrified woman and give her AIDS.
Police at the station eventually responded to the woman’s screams for help and rescued her.
Bodie pleaded guilty to indecent assault at his arraignment before Magistrate Kendra Kelly today.
She suspended sentencing and remanded him to prison for mental tests.
Bodie is next due to appear in court on December 14.
