NASSAU- A cook accused of setting a fire that destroyed one home and damaged three others has been denied bail.
Angelique Williams is accused of torching Bonnie Solomon’s wooden home at Laird Street on September 2, causing $123,418 in damage.
The flames from that fire damaged three wooden homes in the vicinity.
Prosecutors say Williams caused $30,000 in damage to Julian Newbold’s home.
She allegedly caused $8,000 in damage to Marcus Newbold’s home and $15,000 in damage to Janet Serrette’s home.
Williams, a cook at Prime Time Restaurant and Lounge, was not required to enter pleas to the charges when she appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes.
She’s been denied bail and returns to court on November 11.
Williams, of Laird Street, will remain in custody if she doesn’t get bail from a Supreme Court judge.
