Nassau, Bahamas- Police have arrested a man for the senseless and tragic death of a woman who was gunned down on her way to a prayer meeting.
Stray bullets hit the woman in the chest and face as she exited her car to attend a church on Robinson Road around 7pm Tuesday, January 18.
Police said the woman was caught in the crossfire as a gunman chased another man from Ida Street onto Robinson Road.
The intended target of the gunman was also shot in the back and legs and he collapsed on Washington Street.
He’s in serious condition at the hospital, police said.
Police said they arrested a suspect in the incident a short time later.
