Son charged with sex crime that put dad in prison

NASSAU- Justin Pratt Jr doesn’t only have his father’s name. Prosecutors say the 20-year-old also shares his father’s liking for underage girls.

Just two months after his father took a plea deal and was sentenced to four years in prison for having a forbidden sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, Pratt was arrested for the same crime.

Prosecutors allege that Pratt, 20, had relations with a 13-year-old girl in February, March and May of 2022.

Pratt was not required to enter pleas to the charges. He was denied bail and he returns to court in August.

The minor was a willing participant; however, she could not give her consent because she’s not 16.

Pratt Sr had multiple illegal hookups with a 14-year-old between June 1, 2019 and January 24, 2020, the date of his arrest.

Police caught Pratt red handed on January after the child skipped school for one of their sex sessions.

A concerned citizen called police when they saw Pratt taking the girl, who was still wearing her school uniform, into his apartment on Shamrock Close around 9am.

When the officers responded, they reportedly heard “sexual noises” coming from the residence.
